This Privacy Policy describes how Petimer ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects user information.

1. Information We Collect

Petimer collects only the information necessary to provide core functionality of the App.

The information you may provide includes:

• Email address (used for account authentication)
• Username / nickname (publicly visible)
• Profile bio (optional, up to 30 characters)
• Authentication credentials (passwords are securely stored using industry-standard protection methods and are not readable).

We also support third-party authentication methods such as Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In.

2. Data Storage

User data is stored securely on our servers. Some data may be temporarily cached on your device to improve performance and user experience.

3. Payments and Subscriptions

Petimer offers subscriptions and one-time purchases. All payments are processed exclusively through official platform providers such as Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Petimer does not collect, store, or process payment card details or billing information.

We may use a third-party subscription management provider (such as RevenueCat) to help validate subscriptions and provide purchase-related functionality across devices. This provider may process limited device and purchase information (for example, app user identifiers and transaction metadata) to perform these services.

4. Analytics

Petimer uses PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to understand how users interact with the app and to improve its performance and features.

Data is collected under a pseudonymous app-install identifier (install_id) before login. After login, it may be linked to your account identifier to provide account-level insights.

Collected usage data includes events such as app launches, screen views, feature interactions, errors, and onboarding steps, along with technical context like platform, app version, locale/region, timezone, session information, and last screen viewed.

This data is not used for advertising purposes and Petimer does not track users across other apps or websites.

Data is processed and stored by PostHog Cloud in accordance with their privacy practices.

5. Tracking

The app does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) and does not engage in cross-app tracking.

6. Children's Privacy

Petimer is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your account and associated data directly in the App via Account Settings. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you need additional help, you can still contact us via email.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell user data.

Analytics data is shared only with PostHog as a data processor for the purpose of application analytics.

We may share limited information with other service providers that help us operate the App, such as:

• Authentication providers (e.g., Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In)
• Platform payment providers (Apple App Store, Google Play Store)
• Subscription management providers (e.g., RevenueCat)

These providers process information on our behalf for the purposes described in this policy, and only as necessary to provide their services. We may also disclose information where required to comply with legal obligations.
